So I am running this blog sans Bammy till Thursday (I think that is when she will be back) and i gotta come up with these post ideas alone, and it's hard to do that w/o my partner, two ditzy brains always work better than one......anyway flipping channels Saturday afternoon like i always do, and i stopped on BET, and i got an idea for a post......WHY IS BET EVEN STILL IN THE CHANNEL LINEUP????
I think imma bout to show my age, but i remember back when Video Soul was the bidness, and Donnie Simpson was on there with the pretty eyes and thangs, I remember Ananda Lewis hosting Teen Summit, I remember when BET was basically just a channel to watch Kriss Kross and TLC videos all day long, now we subjected to Hell Date and that show where the celebs are coaching boxers?????? WTF is that all about? Here is my opinion of what BET need to do to get back in my good graces below:
*Get rid of Hell Date 1st and foremost, i don't get the point of the midget, and the show sux anyway so just take it off, PERIOD...
*Stop copying MTV, just cause shows like Real World works for them, don't mean it's gon work for yall, i never watch College Hill, and prolly never will
*106 and park, cool show, i liked it kinda sorta when Free and AJ were on there, but that damn Rocsi, who dresses her???? and Terrance, just too damn silly fa me, watching them is like watching a episode of a damn variety show that ain't even funny....
*Stop showing the same damn 10+ yr old movies on Blackbuster (and how dumb is that name yall) if i gotta watch them butcher Menace II Society one mo time, i swear imma go nutz....
*Why yall take away Hitz from the street, i actually liked that show, bring it back
*Stop just having anybody show up as a special guest on 106 and Park, lmao i kid yall not, i watched it one day and the special guest was a singer i ain't even know.....
*Comic View, is played, stopped being funny a long time ago, so get rid of it besides Def Comedy Jam is back and in full effect, so Comic View is really obsolete don't ya think.....

^^^^you know, in some ways I don't even blame many of these women because some of them were never raised in an environment of healthy love. Either some dude in the street, or their momma's boyfriend, or uncle so and so has been trying to get at them since they grew breasts. What do they know about healthy love? Jacelyn; its good that you are trying to reconcile. You have to remember that even though you are trying to make amends for what you may have done wrong, you still have your dignity and making a mistake doesn't justify someone shytting on you.

The number was in my phone. The bad part about it was that I was never going to call the guy. I was out with my girlfriends and this guy and I were talking, I told him I was married w/kids and not interested but the conversation was on point we exchanged numbers on a friendly basis. I know that it was wrong because if the shoe was on the other foot I would have killed him.
O I have to keep reminding myself that I still have to maintain my dignity. It's hard.
Put it this way, if your husband made you debase yourself just to get back with him, how would that make you see him? Would you see him the same way?
I would have no choice but to walk away. I am the his wife and the mother of his only children. I couldn't look my daughter in eye knowing I let a man disrespect me just for the sake of being with him. I would lose all respect for him. I pray that it doesn't get to that point.

Sometimes you have to just put it right on the table like "Look, I messed up. I know that and I apologize for that. Now do you want to make this marriage and family work or not?? We can work through this like two people who still love each other or when can just throw it all away but I am not going to be emotionally dragged around while you try to figure it out. So whatchu wanna do??"

its true...why you laughing. I like to help people but you can't get that attached as a counselor. I'd be trying to fight the abusive husband or father....trying to adopt every kid I run into....not a good look!
