Momma's Day

Friday, May 9, 2008

Since we don't post on the weekends, I thought we should do a little something for all the moms that read our blog today. Since Chrissy is out (doing what moms do), I came up with some poems about moms. It's only two but if you have any you would like to share, feel free to drop them in the box.

Love is a word that doesn’t even amount to what I feel for you
Without you, where would I be?
Who would I be?
For you there should be another word
Something that combines the glow

Of the light in your eyes when I make you proud
Something that combines that great laugh
I can hear in a massive crowd
Something that combines the secure feeling you give
When you hug us so tight
The strength you have
The power you give
The knowledge you instill
No, the word love just doesn’t fit
All you have done
All you will do
And what you continue to do
I don’t know what other word to use
But if LOVE is the strongest
It’ll have to get used

Proud am I to say
I am my mother’s daughter
For I truly love her
One day isn’t enough to tell her thanks
My life without her
I can’t imagine
My mind comes up blank
The knowledge she’s bestowed upon me
The guidance she’s given to me
My only wish is to be like her, in my later years
The love I have for her drives me to tears
The person that wiped away all my fears
And told be she’ll always be there
Proud am I to say
I am
My mother’s daughter

this sh!t better work..lmao
